The Princess Bride RPG

Fencing. Fighting. Torture. Revenge. Giants. Monsters. Chases. Escapes. True Love. Miracles. You too, can experience the high adventure of The Princess Bride universe with The Princess Bride Roleplaying Game!

The Princess Bride Roleplaying Game is a cooperative story-telling game. Each player takes on the role of a character within The Princess Bride universe. This character can be anything you imagine inhabiting your version of The Princess Bride universe. One of the players will create the world and adventure for the rest of the players. The book is a guideline for you to play fairly within the world, as well as give helpful hints and advice on how to have a fun time around the table.

This 250-plus page, full-color, hardback rule book has all the rules you need to play in the world of The Princess Bride. The Princess Bride Roleplaying Game uses a light role-playing engine called “Fudge”. Fudge was also designed by Steffan O’Sullivan and features a simple set of rules that requires just three six-sided dice to play. You can even use Fudge dice to make action resolution a bit more streamlined. The book presents a graduated character-creation system, allowing first time players to jump right in, and experienced players can experiment with their own character builds. In addition to the easy rules and character creation, it details the background of The Princess Bride. It has the stats for all the main characters in the movie, as well as descriptions of the places in The Princess Bride. The book also includes adventures and adventure hooks to keep your play group busy for weeks.

Scion RPG: Origin

The ancient powers never fully went away. They wander our roads and cities, mingling with the teeming masses of humanity. You are one of their children, born to the magic of yesterday and the promise of tomorrow. Now begins the war against the Titans, elder beings who rage against the human world and its wayward gods. Commanding the push and pull of Fate, you will ride into battle and work wonders, the better to prove yourself worthy of legends.

Scion is a contemporary game of modern myth and epic heroism. Its first edition was published in 2007, and it quickly gained an enthusiastic following, winning the ENnies Game of the Year award. Originally slated as a simple three-book series, its fervent following merited an expansion beyond those original limits, resulting in a series of books and PDFs released over the next several years. Onyx Path is proud to oversee the publishing of an entirely new edition of the game.

Fifth Edition Fantasy #16: The Cave of the Unknown

A level 3 adventure for 5E Dungeons & Dragons

A forgotten cavern beneath a lonely hill hides secrets as old as the world. Strange phenomena haunt those who delve its depths. Both the wise and the mad venture within to call upon the cave’s ancient power—and not all reemerge. Now, the legend of the Cave of the Unknown reaches the ears of stalwart adventurers. Can they uncover the Cave’s secret history and succeed where others have failed? Or will their bones soon litter the darkness under that distant hill?

The Cave of the Unknown is an old-fashioned dungeon crawl designed for modern fifth-edition game mechanics. It is intended for a party of four to six 3rd-level PCs. The adventure can be easily inserted into any campaign or used as part of the Into the Borderlands reprint.

Awful Fantasy Adventures

An adventure card game of awful proportions…

Step into the pun-ridden realms of Awful Fantasy, where defecating dark lords and boob-faced aliens threaten to bring ruin and general un-comfortableness to the world.

Awful Fantasy Adventures is a quick-playing and “self-expanding” cooperative card game. While the game’s core components offer an easy-to-learn and fast-pace co-op experience, the included “Adventure Packs” not only expand the game, but modify the rulebook itself.

Each player takes control of a ridiculous hero setting off to explore the world of Awful Fantasy and defeat the threats that seek to ruin it. Gameplay is quick and engaging; each player will take their turn by drawing a new threat card and attempting to overcome an existing threat in play. Players will have to overcome specific threats to complete their quest. Once all players complete their quest, the players are victorious! However, if even one hero succumbs to the threats before them, all players are defeated.

The “self-expanding” nature of Awful Fantasy Adventures lets players expand and customize their game at their own pace. Each “Adventure Pack” contains new cards and new rules stickers to apply to the pages of the rules, introducing new powers and new dangers to the game. Play until you’ve mastered the game, and then crack open an adventure pack for fresh challenges and enticing rewards!
